Now ponder each of these,
And then pick the odd one out.
A) World leaders (Think Presidents / Prime Ministers)
B) Global Business leaders (Think: - Bill Gates / Larry Page / Sergey Brin / Eric Schmidt at Google, Steve Jobs at Apple, Jeff Bezos at Amazon)
C) Corporate and SME Business Leaders / Sales Managers and Sales teams (Think: - You / your team / your opposition)
D) Elite Individual athletes (Think Roger Federer / Tiger Woods / Ashley Barty / Usain Bolt)
E) Elite Sports teams (Think Matildas / Diamonds / Wallabies / Kangaroos/ Mitchelton- Scott)
Answer :- C
Why?
As a general rule, theses are people who think they don’t require coaching, and that they are good enough so that they don’t need assistance (from either advisors or coaches).
All the others engage outside help from coaches or advisors!
Why is that?
The real reason is that most Sales People don’t want to feel uncomfortable. They don't wish to admit they ‘don’t know it all’, and they don't want to admit they don’t have all the answers. Or dare I say, some don't wish to push themselves to be the best (but say they want to be the best).
